I have been feeling so sluggish lately. So a bulleted list of random things in my head.
1. We played poker with family on Friday night. Mr. L and I paid for our buy in with change from the garage sale. Mr L won and I brought back $30 in change. I threw the bags in my purse and forgot about it. I was wondering why all weekend my purse felt SO heavy. I emptied it to find the $30 in change hiding on the bottom of my purse. Haha!
2. We decided to stay home and possibly go on the roof to watch the fireworks from there. Our neighbors however bought well over $500 worth of fireworks. They suggested we hose down our roof, they did. So Mr. L climbed on the roof with the hose. We grabbed a couple of chairs and watched the show. The eldest son is going to Iraq in a couple months for a 1 year tour. So they wanted to have this 4th of july very special.
Anyway, We were sitting oooohing and ahhing when a firework decided to shoot sideways instead of up, sideways right between Mr. L and I. Mr. L quickly told me to stand up and started slapping my butt, apparently I was smoldering (more than usual anyways, ha!) My poor sweater has a large black singe circle on the back, as does the chair I was siting on. I got a hug from the neighbor boy, he felt bad. Haha!
3. The middle boy of the neighbors is getting married. They want me to do the photography. This intimidates me very much. It will be next April and the wedding is very homey, Grandma is going to make all the food, aunt is baking the cake, etc. Nothing super fancy. They just want some nice pictures taken so they can relax and enjoy themselves. I told them let me meet with the bride first. This will be the deciding factor. If she is one of those brides, the ones with a vision of her wedding, the same one she has had for years.. it would be a no. If she is sweet and her wedding is just all about her and her new husband, and celebrating their love with friends and family, then Yes. ;-) I don't know what to charge.
4. My SIL has decided to pass my number (with my permission) to some people who are interested in me shooting their childrens senior portraits. These are people who have seen some of the shots I have taken of my niece, and loved my style. These are people who are paying insane amounts of money to send their kids to a private school instead of public. I don't know what to charge.
5. I have a macro lens, I have not downloaded the shots from my camera yet, but they look so sweet in camera.
6. I have so much to do today and it is already past noon... I better go get to doing what I need to do.
